"Man's word is spirit in man"
- Paramahansa Yogananda
"Poetry is the lexicon
of the unconscious
made conscious
as literary expression..."
"Poetry is both a written
and oral art whose medium
is language;
words evoking imagery,
meaning and music.."
I "compose" or write poems, because I experience an elevation of infinitude when i slip into the phantom-sphere of my inner human light feeling the music, imagery and meaning of language, words and lexicon. A poem is a expression of words made conscious on paper. The "dream-world" of perception becomes a poem using the medium of language.
Language, words, the spoken or silent word is potentially a transformational force upon the human consciousness.
The "act of writing in poetic diction" trains and controls the mind and human thought, which is the foundation or basis of every person.
Thought, the life and energy of the thoughts we entertain, express, use, in our everyday life and social encounters shape invisibly on a cellular level the very synapses of the human brain. Thoughts create according to their nature. Poetry uses thoughts as words consciously expressed as a poem.
